Sweet, fun, and festive—ideal for spreading love on Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Donuts:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (red or pink, for a Valentine’s theme)
  • Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

For the Donut Bouquet:

  • Wooden skewers or sticks (to hold the donuts)
  • Floral foam or a bouquet base to arrange the donuts

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan or use a non-stick spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean.
  • While the donuts cool, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and food coloring.
  • Dip each cooled donut into the glaze and let the excess drip off. Add sprinkles or other decorations as desired.
  • Once the donuts are glazed, insert wooden skewers into the bottoms and arrange them into a bouquet using floral foam or a bouquet base.
  • Optionally, wrap the bouquet in parchment paper and tie with a ribbon for a festive touch.

Notes

  • You can customize the glaze by using different food coloring or adding extracts like almond or lemon to change the flavor.
  • For a healthier option, try substituting whole wheat flour and reducing sugar.
  • If you don’t have a donut pan, you can also make these as donut holes by using a mini muffin pan.
