- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel bits
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and caramel bits.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with flaky sea salt while still warm.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
