Description

These Sheet Pan Nachos are the ultimate crowd-pleaser. With layers of crispy tortilla chips, melted cheese, savory toppings, and all your favorite nacho fixings, this dish is perfect for game nights, parties, or just a casual meal. Customizable to your taste, it’s easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Tortilla Chips: The base of the nachos. Choose your favorite, sturdy chips for a crispy crunch.
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese: For that perfect melt and sharp, tangy flavor.
  • Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese: For a creamy, mild flavor that pairs beautifully with cheddar.
  • Ground Beef: Cooked and seasoned with taco seasoning for a flavorful meat topping.
  • Black Beans: Canned and drained, they add a hearty, savory flavor.
  • Jalapeños: Sliced for a spicy kick.
  • Tomatoes: Diced fresh tomatoes add a juicy, tangy freshness.
  • Red Onion: Thinly sliced for a bit of sharpness and color.
  • Sour Cream: For a creamy, cool contrast to the spicy toppings.
  • Guacamole: A creamy avocado topping that’s perfect for nachos.
  • Salsa: For a fresh, zesty topping.
  • Cilantro: Chopped for garnish and a fresh herbal note.
  • Olives (optional): Sliced for a salty addition.

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning (follow package directions or make your own with chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper), and set aside.
  • Assemble the Nachos: On a large sheet pan, spread out a layer of tortilla chips. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses evenly over the chips. Add a layer of cooked ground beef and black beans.
  • Add More Layers: Add another layer of chips, followed by the remaining cheese, ground beef, black beans, and jalapeños. Feel free to add extra layers depending on how cheesy or meaty you like your nachos.
  • Bake: Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the nachos are slightly golden.
  • Top and Serve: Remove the nachos from the oven and immediately top with fresh diced tomatoes, red onion, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and cilantro. Sprinkle with sliced olives if desired.
  • Serve: Serve the nachos straight from the sheet pan for a fun, shareable meal!

Notes

  • Customize your nachos by adding any of your favorite toppings, such as grilled chicken, pulled pork, or even veggies like corn or bell peppers.
  • If you want to make these nachos extra crispy, bake the chips for a few minutes before adding the toppings.
  • For extra heat, drizzle some hot sauce or add more jalapeños.
