Description

Crispy, melty, and packed with savory flavor, this Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Melt on Sourdough is everything you want in a sandwich. Layered with juicy turkey, smoky bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese between golden, buttery sourdough slices, it’s a quick and satisfying meal perfect for lunch or dinner. Served hot and gooey, it’s comfort food at its finest!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices sourdough bread

  • 8 oz sliced roasted turkey breast (deli or leftover)

  • 8 slices cooked bacon

  • 8 slices sharp cheddar cheese

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for toasting)

Instructions

  • Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. If using mayo or mustard, spread on the unbuttered side.

  • Layer the sandwich: place 1 slice of cheddar cheese, a few slices of turkey, 2 slices of bacon, and another slice of cheddar cheese between two slices of bread, buttered side out.

  • Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Press lightly with a spatula for even browning.

  • Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve hot with chips, salad, or soup.

Notes

Add tomato slices or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
