Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Chicken:

    • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small slider-sized pieces

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour

    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1 teaspoon paprika

    • Salt and pepper, to taste

    • 2 large eggs

    • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs

    • Vegetable oil, for frying

  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:

    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

    • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

    • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust for spice level)

    • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

    • 1 tablespoon honey

  • For the Sliders:

    • 12 slider buns

    • Shredded lettuce

    • Sliced pickles (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:

    • Cut the chicken breasts into small pieces, about the size of a slider bun.

    • In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    • In another bowl, beat the eggs.

    • Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

  • Dredge the Chicken:

    • Dip each piece of chicken first into the flour mixture, coating it completely.

    • Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, and then coat it with the panko breadcrumbs. Make sure each piece is well-coated with breadcrumbs.

  • Fry the Chicken:

    • Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot (about 350°F or 175°C), carefully add the chicken pieces in batches and fry them for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

    • Remove the fried chicken from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  • Make the Bang Bang Sauce:

    • In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Adjust the sriracha if you want it spicier.

  • Assemble the Sliders:

    • Slice the slider buns in half.

    • Place a layer of shredded lettuce on the bottom half of each bun.

    • Add 2-3 pieces of fried chicken on top of the lettuce.

    • Drizzle the bang bang sauce generously over the chicken.

    • Add sliced pickles if desired for a touch of crunch and tang.

  • Serve:

    • Top the sliders with the bun tops and serve immediately. These sliders are great with crispy fries or a simple side salad.

Notes

  • If you want to make these sliders even quicker, you can use pre-cooked crispy chicken tenders instead of frying the chicken yourself.

  • The bang bang sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.

  • You can add shredded cabbage or coleslaw to the sliders for an extra crunch.

  • For a healthier version, you can bake the chicken pieces instead of frying them.
