Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken Wings
- 2 pounds chicken wings or drumsticks
- 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Optional Garnish
- Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top. Lightly spray the rack with cooking spray.
- In a bowl, mix together garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder, basil, and baking powder.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Add them to a bowl and toss with the spice mixture to coat evenly.
- Place the wings on the prepared wire rack and bake for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C) and bake for an additional 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the wings rest for 5 minutes.
- While the wings rest, cook the butter and minced garlic in a saucepan over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture onto the wings, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and parsley (if using).
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Store leftover wings in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze them for up to 3 months.
- For extra crispiness, ensure to pat the wings completely dry before coating with the spice mixture.
