Description

These crispy, flavorful garlic Parmesan chicken wings are baked to perfection, coated in garlic butter, and topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. A perfect appetizer or main dish for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings or drumsticks
  • 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder

For the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Optional Garnish

  • Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top. Lightly spray the rack with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, mix together garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder, basil, and baking powder.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Add them to a bowl and toss with the spice mixture to coat evenly.
  • Place the wings on the prepared wire rack and bake for 25 minutes.
  • After 25 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C) and bake for an additional 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the wings rest for 5 minutes.
  • While the wings rest, cook the butter and minced garlic in a saucepan over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
  • Brush the garlic butter mixture onto the wings, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and parsley (if using).
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftover wings in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze them for up to 3 months.
  • For extra crispiness, ensure to pat the wings completely dry before coating with the spice mixture.
