Description

A rich, creamy, and flavorful beef and bowtie pasta dish that combines savory ground beef, rich cheeses, and a velvety cream sauce for a comforting meal. Perfect for a family dinner or a special weeknight treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta: In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking up the meat as it cooks.
  • Sauté the aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until softened and fragrant.
  • Make the sauce: Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add the heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheeses melt and the sauce thickens.
  • Combine: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.

  • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner alternative to ground beef.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.

  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add more beef broth or a splash of milk to reach the desired consistency.
