Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of bread (preferably a baguette or ciabatta)
- 1/2 cup of butter, melted
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Using a sharp knife, make diagonal cuts in the loaf of bread, being careful not to cut all the way through, leaving the bottom intact so the loaf stays together.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and minced garlic until well combined.
- Gently separate the bread slices and brush the garlic butter mixture in between each slice, ensuring the garlic butter seeps into the crevices.
- Stuff the shredded mozzarella cheese into the cuts between the slices, and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the top is golden and slightly crispy.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, and serve hot!
Notes
- You can use any type of bread you like, but a crusty loaf like French bread, baguette, or ciabatta works best for pull-apart texture.
- Feel free to add extra herbs like thyme, oregano, or basil to the garlic butter for an added burst of flavor.
- For an even cheesier version, feel free to add more mozzarella or add a blend of different cheeses like cheddar or provolone.
- You can prepare the bread in advance and bake it just before serving for a quick and easy appetizer.
