The combination of soy sauce, honey, and garlic creates a sticky, delicious coating that makes each bite irresistible. Perfect for a weeknight dinner, this recipe is easy to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

  • 8 oz (225g) egg noodles or rice noodles

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef slices in batches and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  3. Make the Sauce: In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  4. Combine: Add the cooked noodles and beef back to the pan. Toss to coat the noodles and beef in the sticky sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through and well combined.

  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute the beef with chicken or pork if desired.

  • For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha sauce.

  • This recipe is perfect for meal prepping as it holds up well in the fridge for 2-3 days.
