Description

These Prosciutto Wrapped Baked Brie Rolls are a savory, elegant appetizer that’s easy to prepare but packed with flavor. Creamy brie cheese is topped with a layer of sweet fig jam, wrapped in savory prosciutto, and enveloped in golden puff pastry for a perfect balance of textures. Baked until golden and crispy, these rolls are ideal for parties, holiday gatherings, or any special occasion. A final touch of fresh thyme adds an aromatic burst to every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 8 oz wheel of brie cheese
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 1/4 cup fig jam
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 8 strips.
  • Spread a thin layer of fig jam on each strip.
  • Cut the brie into 8 pieces and place one piece on each strip.
  • Wrap a slice of prosciutto around each brie-topped strip.
  • Roll up the strips and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down.
  • Brush the rolls with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh thyme leaves.

Notes

  • You can substitute fig jam with other fruit preserves like apricot or raspberry for a different flavor profile.
  • For extra flavor, add a touch of honey or balsamic glaze before serving.
  • These rolls are best served immediately after baking for a warm, melty center.
