Description
Tender, succulent lobster tails are smothered in a rich, buttery garlic sauce in this indulgent seafood dish. Perfect for a special occasion or a luxurious dinner at home, these lobster tails are incredibly easy to prepare and will melt in your mouth.
Ingredients
- Lobster Tails: The star of the dish! Choose fresh or thawed lobster tails for the best flavor.
- Butter: Adds richness and helps create a flavorful garlic butter sauce.
- Garlic: Fresh garlic provides that irresistible aroma and depth of flavor.
- Lemon Juice: Adds a fresh, zesty kick to balance the richness of the butter.
- Parsley: Fresh parsley adds color and a subtle freshness to the dish.
- Paprika: For a hint of smokiness and a pop of color.
- Salt and Pepper: To taste, enhancing all the flavors.
- Olive Oil: For brushing the lobster tails before broiling.
- Lemon Wedges (optional): For serving, adds a burst of citrus.
Instructions
- Prepare the Lobster Tails: Use kitchen scissors to carefully cut along the top of the lobster shell. Gently pull the shell apart, but leave the lobster meat attached at the base. Lift the lobster meat and place it on top of the shell.
- Preheat the Broiler: Set your oven’s broiler to high and let it preheat for 5-10 minutes.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Brush the Lobster Tails: Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush the lobster meat generously with the garlic butter sauce.
- Broil the Lobster: Place the lobster tails under the preheated broiler, about 4-6 inches from the heat source. Broil for 6-8 minutes or until the lobster meat is opaque and slightly browned. Be sure to baste the lobster tails with the remaining garlic butter halfway through.
- Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the lobster tails from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
Notes
- The key to perfectly cooked lobster tails is not overcooking them. Keep an eye on them while broiling to avoid rubbery meat.
- You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter for a little extra heat.
- Serve the lobster tails with a side of steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
