  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (58 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix

Instructions

  • Pound the chicken breasts to 1-inch thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter and add olive oil. Sear the chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  • Reduce heat, add the remaining butter, and stir in the flour. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up the browned bits from the pan.
  • Add the milk, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and ranch seasoning mix. Stir until everything is dissolved and well combined.
  • Add the chicken back to the pan with any pan juices. Spoon the sauce over the chicken. Simmer until heated through and the sauce has reduced.
  • Serve hot, topped with fresh parsley (optional).
