Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and cook until slightly softened.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Add shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve shrimp mixture over cooked fettuccine pasta.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier dish, add extra Cajun seasoning or a dash of hot sauce to taste.
- You can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version of the sauce.
- For extra flavor, consider adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.
