Description

These Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bombs are the perfect combination of gooey cheese, savory pepperoni, and flavorful garlic and herbs. A fun and delicious appetizer or snack, these pizza bombs are dipped in marinara sauce for extra cheesy goodness. Easy to make with biscuit dough, they’re a crowd-pleaser at any party or game night!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheese sticks cut into small pieces)
  • 24 slices pepperoni (about 3 slices per bomb)
  • ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce (plus more for dipping)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the biscuit dough into 8 individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly to form a small round.
  3. Place 3 slices of pepperoni in the center of each biscuit, followed by a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese (or a few small pieces of cheese stick).
  4. Fold the edges of the biscuit dough around the filling to form a ball, pinching the edges to seal. Place the seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the tops of the pizza bombs.
  6. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pizza bombs for added flavor.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pizza bombs are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
  8. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping, and garnish with fresh chopped basil or parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • Dough: You can use any refrigerated biscuit dough, but make sure it is the kind that can be separated into individual biscuits.
  • Cheese Variations: Feel free to experiment with different cheeses like cheddar, provolone, or even a combination for a more robust flavor.
  • Spice it up: Add a few red pepper flakes to the filling or brush some spicy marinara sauce on top before baking for a kick.
