A fusion dish that combines the crispy crunch of wonton wrappers with the savory, flavorful filling of seasoned chicken. These Asian-inspired tacos offer the perfect balance of texture, flavor, and spice, making them a fun and unique twist on traditional tacos.
Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken (or shredded cooked chicken)

12–14 wonton wrappers (for the taco shells)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Sriracha (optional, for heat)

1 tablespoon honey (for sweetness)

1/4 cup green onions, sliced (for garnish)

1/4 cup shredded carrots (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Wonton Taco Shells:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Lightly grease a muffin tin and place the wonton wrappers over each muffin cup, pressing gently to form a taco shape.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers are crispy and golden. Set aside to cool.

Prepare the Chicken Filling:

Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart, until it’s fully cooked and browned.

Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, Sriracha (if using), and honey. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Tacos:

Spoon the chicken mixture into each baked wonton wrapper shell.
