Description

These soft, minty Christmas peppermints are a delightful holiday treat that melt in your mouth. Perfect for gift-giving or as a festive addition to your holiday desserts. Easy to make and customize with a touch of food coloring for a fun, seasonal twist!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, corn syrup, water, and peppermint extract.
  • Stir until the mixture forms a dough. If it’s too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar, a tablespoon at a time.
  • Once the dough is firm and smooth, divide it into portions if you want to add different colors.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion, and knead the dough until the color is evenly distributed.
  • Roll the dough into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter) and then flatten them slightly with your fingers.
  • Let the peppermints dry on parchment paper for at least 2-3 hours to harden.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • These peppermint candies can be customized with various colors for a festive touch.
  • You can also dust the candies with powdered sugar if you want to keep them from sticking together.
  • These candies will stay fresh for about 1 week at room temperature.
