Description

Indulge in the ultimate dessert with this Peanut Butter Chocolate Mud Pie. It features a crunchy chocolate wafer crust, a rich peanut butter layer, and a creamy, decadent chocolate ganache topping, all finished off with a sprinkle of crunchy peanuts. The perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and salty in every bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Make the Crust: In a bowl, mix the chocolate wafer crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie dish to form an even crust.
  • Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer: In another bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter. Mix until smooth. Spread this peanut butter mixture evenly over the chocolate crust.
  • Make the Chocolate Ganache: In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just starts to boil. Remove the saucepan from heat, and stir in the semisweet chocolate chips until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  • Assemble the Pie: Pour the chocolate ganache over the peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  • Top with Peanuts: Sprinkle the chopped peanuts evenly over the top of the pie.
  • Chill: Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours, or until the layers are firm and set.
  • Serve: Slice and serve chilled for the perfect dessert!

Notes

  • This pie can be made ahead of time and kept refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • You can substitute the semisweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips for a sweeter ganache or dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • For an extra touch, top with a dollop of whipped cream when serving.
  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: None (Chilling time is 2 hours)
