Description

This Hot Fudge Pie is a dream for chocolate lovers! With a rich, fudgy center that’s almost like a brownie meets molten lava cake, this pie delivers the ultimate chocolate indulgence. Topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, it’s a dessert that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and leave you wanting more. Perfect for family dinners, gatherings, or when you simply need a chocolate fix, this pie will never disappoint!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Optional toppings: Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix Ingredients
    • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
    • Add in the eggs, one at a time, whisking after each addition.
    • Stir in the unsweetened cocoa powder, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until everything is fully incorporated. The mixture will be thick, but that’s perfect!
  • Bake
    • Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch pie dish or baking pan.
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (but not wet batter). The center should still be slightly gooey.
  • Serve
    • Let the pie cool slightly before slicing, as it will continue to set up as it cools.
    • Serve warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for the perfect contrast to the rich, fudgy pie.

Notes

  • The pie will firm up a bit more as it cools, so don’t worry if it’s a little soft right out of the oven.
  • This pie is best served warm, so consider reheating individual slices in the microwave for about 15 seconds before serving.
  • You can add a handful of chocolate chips to the batter before baking for extra fudginess!
