Description

Coffee Panna Cotta is a smooth, creamy Italian dessert with a rich coffee flavor, perfect for coffee lovers. This no-bake treat is simple to prepare and makes an elegant finish to any meal. Chill it for a few hours, and enjoy a delightful, indulgent dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, sugar, instant coffee granules, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar and coffee granules have dissolved completely.
  • In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom (soften).
  • Once the gelatin has bloomed, stir it into the warm cream mixture until completely dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into ramekins or molds.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the panna cotta is fully set.
  • To serve, unmold the panna cotta onto plates and garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a dusting of cocoa powder if desired.

Notes

  • If you don’t have ramekins, small cups or glasses work well for serving this dessert.
  • You can adjust the coffee flavor by using more or less instant coffee granules, depending on your preference.
  • For a variation, drizzle caramel or chocolate sauce over the panna cotta before serving for extra flavor.
  • Ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved in the warm cream mixture to avoid any lumps.
