Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup pretzels, crushed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Mix in flour until the dough is well combined.
  • Press the dough mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until the base is lightly golden brown.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the baked crust.
  • Pour caramel sauce over the chocolate chips, spreading it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle crushed pretzels over the top, pressing them gently into the caramel.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbly and golden.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate.
  • If you prefer a thicker crust, you can increase the amount of flour slightly, but keep in mind that this may alter the texture.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
