Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 10×15 inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually add sugar, beating until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth and well-combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cake springs back when lightly touched.
- Remove from the oven and immediately turn the cake onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar. Carefully roll the cake in the towel and allow it to cool completely.
- Unroll the cake, spread your desired filling over the top, and then roll it up again without the towel. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

- You can fill the Swiss roll with whipped cream, chocolate ganache, or a fruit filling for variation.
- If you’re using a more delicate filling, ensure it is spread evenly but not too thick, as it could cause the cake to crack.
