Description

Indulge in the rich, chocolatey goodness of the Choco Swiss Roll Delight. This fluffy, moist chocolate cake is rolled up with a sweet filling and dusted with powdered sugar for a delightful treat. Perfect for any occasion, it’s easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 10×15 inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually add sugar, beating until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
  • Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth and well-combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cake springs back when lightly touched.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately turn the cake onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar. Carefully roll the cake in the towel and allow it to cool completely.
  • Unroll the cake, spread your desired filling over the top, and then roll it up again without the towel. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • You can fill the Swiss roll with whipped cream, chocolate ganache, or a fruit filling for variation.
  • If you’re using a more delicate filling, ensure it is spread evenly but not too thick, as it could cause the cake to crack.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely before unrolling to prevent it from breaking.
  • For extra decoration, drizzle melted chocolate or sprinkle some cocoa powder on top.
