Indulge in a decadent dessert with this Choco Swiss Roll Delight! A soft, fluffy chocolate sponge cake is rolled up with a rich layer of whipped cream and sprinkled with chocolate chips. This elegant yet simple treat will impress your guests and is perfect for any occasion. The Swiss roll is easy to make, and the combination of light cake and creamy filling is a dessert lover’s dream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until thick and pale.
  • Sift in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased and lined baking sheet. Spread evenly to cover the surface.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Carefully roll the cake with the help of a kitchen towel. Let it cool completely while rolled up.
  • Once cooled, unroll the cake gently and spread the whipped cream evenly over the surface. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the cream.
  • Roll the cake back up carefully and refrigerate for at least one hour before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the cake is completely cooled before unrolling to avoid cracking.
  • You can customize the filling by adding fruit or nuts for extra flavor.
  • For a firmer texture, you can use heavy cream instead of whipped cream.
