These Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars are a decadent treat that combines buttery caramel, rich chocolate, and crunchy nuts in every bite. Perfect for any occasion, these bars are easy to make and will surely satisfy your sweet tooth!

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add to the butter-sugar mixture and stir until well combined.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- While the bars are baking, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Once the bars are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately spread the melted chocolate over the top.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the chocolate layer and allow the bars to cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- You can use any type of nuts you prefer, such as almonds, pecans, or hazelnuts.
- For an extra touch, drizzle some caramel over the top of the chocolate before adding the nuts.
- These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
