- 4 cups of peeled and sliced apples
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1/3 cup of butter
Instructions
- reheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well and pour into a baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, oats, and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a handful of chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans) to the crumble topping.
- If you prefer a sweeter topping, increase the brown sugar by 1-2 tablespoons.
- You can use any variety of apples, but tart apples like Granny Smith work best for this dish.
